Description from the seller
Original French advertising manifesto created by Roger Pérot in 1936 for Radio L.M.T. – Le Matériel Téléphonique.
Important format, about 160 × 120 cm.
The composition depicts three stylized figures listening to a radio transmission, with staff lines and musical notes integrated into the scene. The geometric shapes, the colors blue, red, yellow and black, and the essential linework are typical of 1930s French Art Deco advertising graphics.
Signed and dated in the upper right:
“Roger Pérot ’36”
Printed text:
Radio L.M.T. – Le Matériel Téléphonique
Récepteurs de T.S.F. à “Tuyaux d’Harmonie”
The manifesto also bears an antique stamp with the inscription:
“Société d’Électricité de la Côte-d’Or – Réseau de Malain”
An interesting detail, probably linked to the original distribution or display of the poster.
Conditions
Original period specimen, not restored.
The poster has been kept folded and already shows the horizontal and vertical creases.
Normal signs of age and use are present, including some stains, foxing, folds and wear along the margins and at the fold lines.
There is a small hole / missing paper at the bottom, corresponding to the large black letter “T”, clearly visible in the photographs.
Despite the age, the colors remain intense and well preserved.
Please carefully view all photographs, which are an integral part of the condition description.
The poster will be shipped carefully, folded following exclusively the existing creases.
