Wolf - Barockfagott 415 Hz - - Bassoon

This copy by Guntram Wolf of an 18th-century bassoon by a maker with the initials HKICW is very popular among players of the baroque bassoon. The instrument still looks almost as good as new. The bassoon has a nice warm tone and plays perfectly. It is made from maple and brown stained. There are no defects, apart from a few keys that may be a bit noisy. The bassoon is tuned to historical pitch (415 Hz). The S-bow is Wolf's original. Reeds and carrying strap are not included. The instrument was built in 2005 and around 2010 was refurbished once by the maker. Since then it has hardly been played and a revision is therefore certainly not immediately necessary.
