Description from the seller
A high-ceilinged room, blue-gray walls, a white fireplace, a window open onto a city fading away. On the unmade bed, a woman in a black corset, kneeling, turns toward us: direct gaze, dark hair, bare shoulder. Beside her, a black dress abandoned at the foot of the bed. A dark red canopy above, a lamp lit on the nightstand — the only warm spot in the whole canvas.
It's the moment just before or just after; we won't know. LeYack plays the deep blue of the crepuscular hour against the red of the canopy and the gold of the lamp, and lets the woman’s gaze do the rest. The spectator is the one who has just entered, or the one who is about to leave.
A grand and nourished painting: walls brushed in broad passages of blue, sheets sculpted in heavy impasto, an Oriental rug worked in short, tight strokes. The chiaroscuro is clear, without half measures.
(Interior visual is an AI visualization, provided for indicative purposes.)
Characteristics of the work:
Signature: Hand-signed by the artist in front of and on the back of the work.
Technique: Giclée print on canvas on a frame, using high-quality pigment ink to faithfully reproduce details and colors.
Edition: Limited to 20 copies, individually numbered.
Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm.
Framing: Delivered ready to be framed, according to your preferences.
Authenticity: Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

About the artist:
LeYack (born 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern narration with pictorial heritage. Drawing inspiration from photography and cinema, he distorts the codes of realism to inject palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
Keywords: charm scene, bedroom, blue hour, corset, chiaroscuro, contemporary Hopper, intimacy, narrative realism, figurative painting, French contemporary art
