Émeric Gomery (1902-1969) was a French painter of Hungarian origin, active in the 20th century. He developed a figurative body of work marked by portraits, genre scenes, and compositions with modern influences. In the 1950s, he took part in independent artistic life and joined the Association of Independent Painters of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, where he notably interacted with Pierre Bosco, Jean Souverbie, Roger Chastel and Antoni Clavé. His work bears witness to a personal exploration of color, light, and the simplification of forms.
