Description from the seller
These are two rare monochrome chrysanthemum-petal plates (1678-1735) from the Yongzheng period. Shaped like chrysanthemum petals, they are exquisitely crafted, perfectly proportioned, meticulously made, and uniquely designed with vibrant, colorful hues. The "chrysanthemum-petal plates" of the Yongzheng era represent the pinnacle of minimalist aesthetics in Chinese ceramic history and are a testament to Emperor Yongzheng's refined personal taste. Breaking away from the ornate style of the Kangxi era and the flamboyant style of the Qianlong era, they showcase the "elegance, refinement, sophistication, and purity" of court aesthetics through minimalist lines and pure monochrome glaze. They are highly collectible.
