- The works of the painting cycle “Donna” are a scenographic and symbolic representation of the woman, seen both through the eyes of an artist and through the eyes of a man.
With these paintings we aim to represent the woman beyond society’s stereotypes: her essence, her humanity, her fragility and, at the same time, her strength.
The choice of color, in its monochrome, slightly sepia-toned, is intended to convey a sense of mystery, of lived experience and/or memory.
The veil that envelops the woman has a multiple meaning: the part that gently wraps her body is pink, almost merging with her own skin; while the remaining part of it seeks to represent, through its tension, the influence of the social stereotype of a strong, emancipated, beautiful and slim woman.
The title of the work aims to aid understanding of it by using adjectives or names linked to its intention to humanize it and to grasp its essence.
Le opere del ciclo pittorico “Donna”, sono una rappresentazione scenografica e simbolica della donna, vista sia con gli occhi di un artista che con quelli di un uomo.
Con questi dipinti si vuole rappresentare la donna al di là degli stereotipi della società: la sua essenza, la sua umanità, la sua fragilità e, allo stesso tempo, la sua forza.
La scelta del colore, nella sua monocromaticità, leggermente seppiato, intende dare il senso del mistero, del vissuto e/o del ricordo.
Il velo che avvolge la donna ha un molteplice significato: la parte che le fascia delicatamente il corpo è di color rosa, quasi a fondersi con la sua stessa pelle; mentre la restante parte di esso vuole rappresentare, attraverso la sua tensione, l'influenza dello stereotipo sociale di una donna forte, emancipata, bella e magra.
Il titolo dell'opera vuola aiutare la comprensione della stessa usando aggettivi o nomi legati alla sua intenzione di umanizzarla e di coglierne l essenza.
