Plant table - Wood - Console, French Polynesia

A beautiful console/plant stand from French Polynesia, produced in the 1920s.
Given its advanced age, it is in very good condition with minor, negligible imperfections.
The pedestal is hand-crafted from Zitan or Huali, in Western antique circles known as rosewood or fruitwood, featuring open ajoure wood carving with cabriole scroll feet at the bottom.
Between the legs there is a decorative extra shelf.
This provides extra stability and offers space for a decorative piece.
