Orrefors - Lars Hellsten - Set of bowls - Corona - Crystal

Set of three crystal bowls from the "Corona" series by Orrefors, Sweden, designed by Lars Hellsten in the 1970s. Characteristic of the series is the crown-like, multiple-incised rim, where individual faceted spikes rise upward from a heavy, solid base — a clear expression of the Scandinavian post-war design that was formative for Orrefors at that time. The thick-walled, clear crystal glass provides the typical light refraction at the edges.

One of the three bowls still bears the original Orrefors-Sweden label, as shown in the photos. The three bowls are different sizes and can be stacked inside each other.
