DESCRIPTION

Rare and uncommon Louis Vuitton “Float Your Boat” brooch, from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

This is a model that is now difficult to find on the secondary market, especially in the brooch version, much less common than the other coordinated jewelry in the same line.

Large boat-shaped brooch, made of gilt metal with cream, dark blue and brown decorative elements, central row of red crystals and LV logo applied to the sail. The hull is adorned with the characteristic Louis Vuitton floral motif.

On the back are the signature “LOUIS VUITTON PARIS” and the production code LE0112, consistent with 2012.

The model is documented in contemporary images from the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 collection and in house fashion jewelry archives, a particularly interesting element for a piece that is today rare to encounter.

Excellent vintage condition, with a few light superficial marks compatible with age and use.

An important, dramatic, collectible piece, especially appealing to collectors of Louis Vuitton jewelry from the 2000s–2010s and off-season accessories no longer in production.
