Magnificent set of six hand-painted coffee cups with saucers from the iconic Hungarian porcelain house Herend.

This charming lot consists of six coffee duos executed in the world-famous hand-painted "Rothschild Bird" (RO) pattern. Each cup and saucer is a small work of art in itself, enriched with vividly painted birds in tree branches, playful insects such as ladybirds and beetles, and a refined 24-karat gold rim.

The subtle relief texture (the classic basket weave) in the porcelain gives the whole thing extra allure.

Condition: In absolute top condition (no chips, hairline cracks or wear to the gold).

Period: Second half of the 20th century.
