Old educational chart with the Roman snail.

This is an antique biology educational chart that depicts in detail the anatomy and shell structure of a snail (probably the Roman snail, Helix pomatia).
On the vintage poster, the following anatomical parts are numbered:
Figure 1: The living snail in an active state, crawling with its extended tentacles (a).
Figure 2: The exterior of the snail shell with indications for the whorls and the opening (mouth edge).
Figure 3: A cross-section of the snail shell, showing how the inner spiral (the columella or axis) is structured.
Figure 4: An enlarged view of the jaw or a specific part of the digestive system.
Figure 5: The radula (rasp tongue), the distinctive toothed organ with which snails scrape their food.
