Intuition and Abstraction
Manuela Decker is a contemporary German painter who lives and works in Osnabrück. As a self-t taught artist, she has developed an unconventional, deeply emotional visual language that moves freely beyond academic constraints. Under the studio name Gallery M, she presents her works to an international audience.

Artistic Profile & Style
Manuela Decker’s works are associated with Abstract Expressionism and modern informal art. At the center of her work is the process of letting go. Her large-format acrylic paintings are often created impulsively and intuitively—guided by snapshots, moods, and the dynamics of color itself.

Technique:
She prefers working with acrylic paints, pastels, and textural mixed media on canvas. The application of color occurs in layers, sometimes boldly laid on, sometimes softly wiped or glazed. This gives her pictures a tactile depth. Contrasts: a recurring motif is the play of extreme opposites. In series such as “Better in black,” she contrasts deep, dark planes with sudden, luminous color explosions or minimalist lines. The imperfect and raw are deliberately staged as an aesthetic element.

Philosophy and Intent:
For Manuela Decker, art is an outlet for the inarticulate. She does not want to impose a fixed interpretation on the viewer, but rather to provide space for one’s own associations and feelings. Her art seeks dialogue with the subconscious. She also shares this inclusive, liberating approach as a creativity coach, helping people to release blockages through intuitive painting and to discover their own inner visual world.
