Manuela Decker is a contemporary German painter who lives and works in Osnabrück. As a self-taught artist, she has developed an unconventional, profoundly emotional visual language that moves freely beyond academic constraints. Under the studio name Gallery M, she presents her works to an international audience.

Artistic Profile & Style
Manuela Decker’s works are associated with abstract expressionism and modern informal art. At the center of her work is the process of letting go. Her large-format acrylic paintings often arise impulsively and intuitively—guided by fleeting impressions, moods, and the dynamics of color itself.

Technique:
She preferably works with acrylic paints, pastels, and texturing mixed techniques on canvas. The application of color occurs in layers, sometimes boldly smeared, sometimes softly wiped or glazed. This gives her pictures a tactile depth.
Contrasts: A recurring motif is the play with extreme opposites. In series such as “Better in black,” she contrasts deep, dark areas with sudden, luminous color explosions or minimalist lines. Imperfect and raw is deliberately staged as an aesthetic element.
Philosophy and Intent:
For Manuela Decker, art is an outlet for the unsayable. She does not want to force a fixed interpretation on the viewer, but to offer space for one’s own associations and feelings. Her art seeks dialogue with the subconscious.
