Manuela Decker is a contemporary German painter who lives and works in Osnabrück. Self-taught, she has developed an unconventional, deeply emotional visual language that moves freely beyond academic constraints. Under the studio name Gallery M, she presents her works to an international audience.

Artistic Profile & Style
Manuela Decker’s works are associated with abstract expressionism and modern informal art. At the core of her work is the process of letting go. Her large-format acrylic paintings often arise impulsively and intuitively—driven by moments, moods, and the dynamism of color itself.

Technique:
She primarily works with acrylic paints, chalks, and texturing mixed media on canvas. The color is applied in layers, sometimes boldly scooped, sometimes softly wiped or glazed. This gives her paintings a tactile depth.
Contrasts: A recurring motif is the play of extreme opposites. In series such as “Better in black,” she contrasts deep, dark areas with sudden, radiant color explosions or minimalist lines. The imperfect and the raw are deliberately staged as aesthetic elements.
