Description:
Splendid vintage sewing workspace stool/basket, original from the 1950s-1960s, fully in the Mid-Century Scandinavian style.
Structure entirely in wood (beech) with the characteristic accordion/cantilever opening. Equipped with a large central handle, two upper drawers with lid and wooden knob, and a wide central lower compartment. Cabriole legs with a reinforcing brace, typical of Nordic design of the era.
Operating mechanism: by opening the two upper trays, they widen laterally revealing the main compartment.
A perfectly functional and highly decorative item, ideal for tailoring use or as a sideboard, storage cabinet, vintage nightstand, or for upcycling projects.
