Ritratto femminile reclinato is an original oil painting on canvas by A. Vitaliano (XX-XXI), signed by hand, in the impressionist style from Italy, dating to 1990–2000, measuring 60 by 50 cm.
Description from the seller
Oil painting on canvas depicting a semi-reclining female figure, in perfect Art Deco style in the manner of Tamara de Lempicka. The woman, with wavy blonde hair gathered up, wears a pink cardigan and a long blue scarf tied around the neck that falls in wide soft folds along the body; she is stretched out on an ochre-colored sofa/chaise longue, with her legs crossed in the foreground and one arm resting behind her head on a light-colored cushion. In the background, a stylized urban glimpse with geometric skyscrapers in dark tones, in keeping with the artist’s typical iconography. Full, smooth volumes, sculptural drapery, strong chiaroscuro contrast between the dark background and the warm tones (ochre, pink, blue) of the figure. The painting is signed bottom left “A. Vitaliano.”
