This B-flat metal clarinet from the American company has been fully restored and is of a power typical of those from this number-one American brand..Brand: Hamilton. It has a small ding near the bell (at the back) that has been repaired, but if I don't say it, you’ll probably take a while to notice it. Other than that it’s impressive. It comes from the Elkart family in Indiana, as indicated by its bore/type and the short neck, like those with a thicker patina. This one, I insist, has superior power and, by the bell fold, I can’t tell it apart from my King Silver Sonic at a glance, no doubt about it. As I mentioned, all the Buffet-grade pads have been installed and checked to ensure good playability and optimal pressure, without any cut corners. This is very important for durability, both in adjustment and lifespan. Its case has taken a beating from the years. But as I always say, someday I might enjoy sanding and restoring cases, but for now I love restoring and tuning and enjoying how the clarinets, saxophones, and flutes settle in without a single leak. It’s the way that, when we blow into a wind instrument with our body, we feel compelled to come back to it again and again... so the air doesn’t escape from our lungs. Another clarinet that you can’t find new in today’s market, and one of the ones I send to this emblematic, always well-used (restored) auction so that savvy people know what they’re buying.
