This is first edition copy published 1913. Beautifully and colourfully illustrated with 48 monochrome plates, fold out sketch map of Russia in back of the book, and 48 fine colour plates, painted by the French painter and illustrator Frederic de Haenen. Text by G. Dobson, H. M. Grove, and H. Stewart

Published by Adam and Charles Black, London, 1913. Publisher’s original brown cloth boards with Russian Scene on front cover and spine. Gilt title on spine and upper board. Top edges gilt.

The book is beautifully bound, designed and illustrated. Firm, and well bound copy. External covers are clean and in nice shape, and with light wear to corners and spine ends. Internally the book is in very good condition indeed. Inscription with pencil on first blank front free endpaper page. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Inner hinges are very good. Pages are clean and the text is fresh. The attractive illustrations make this a truly beautiful book (Excellent Copy & Great Gift Idea!) (Please see pictures).
