Description from the seller
Pair of vintage centerpieces silver-plated with precious hand‑done gold details - Basket with handle and Lidded bonbon holder - Italy, 1950s
Elegant coordinated pair of vintage decorative and service objects, consisting of a large basket with handle and a bonbon holder with lid. Both pieces stand out for superb artisanal workmanship and for a refined two-tone contrast. The beautiful floral decorations, entirely hand-embossed and engraved, and the crimped edges are enriched by a gold‑silver finish that highlights the details on the silver body. Both items mount a silver-plated brass support base, as both are silver-plated and entirely the items.
Details of the first object (Basket with Handle):
• Design: Shaped base and richly crimped edges. The hand-engraved floral and geometric motifs on the rim are elegantly gilded. Equipped with a curved handle decorated in coordination.
• Material: Silver-plated metal with decorations in gilded silver. The reverse bears the mark ARG 1000. Dimensions: maximum height 23 cm, width 21 x 15 cm, weight 259 g.
Details of the second object (Lidded Bonbon Holder):
• Design: Round shape with crimped plate edge and gilded details. Domed lid embellished with rich hand-done floral engravings highlighted by gilding, topped by a coordinated central knob.
• Material: Silver-plated metal with gilded silver decorations. The reverse bears the mark ARG 1000. Dimensions: height of the lid 10 cm, diameter 20 cm, weight 249 g.
Estimated era: circa 1950s (20th Century). Refined Italian craftsmanship from Sicily.
Conditions of the objects: in vintage, pristine condition with visible time-era patina in the photos. The silver plating retains good luster and the gilding of the hand carvings is perfectly vivid and well defined, ensuring an elegant and refined visual impact. No structural damage, no deformation.
