Description from the seller
“About the Wind” is a work that reflects on what we cannot see, but whose presence has the power to transform everything. The central figure emerges from a pictorial universe in constant motion, where matter, gesture, and color build an atmosphere of energy and transformation.
The expansive brushstrokes, especially in the upper area of the composition, evoke the presence of wind as an invisible force that displaces, alters, and reorganizes. In the face of that dynamism, the portrait becomes a point of balance: its direct and serene gaze establishes a tension between permanence and change, between individual identity and the external forces that inevitably transform us.
The work is articulated through an intense chromatic dialogue. The blues, whites, and dark tones create a vibrant structure that contrasts with the warmth of the figure, worked with ochres, pinks, and golden nuances. The floral forms integrate with the portrait until the boundaries between the human figure, nature, and the painting space itself blur.
Beyond its aesthetic dimension, About the Wind speaks of transformation, movement, and permanence. Like the wind, there are experiences and changes that we cannot always see, but that leave their mark and modify the way we inhabit the world. The work thus proposes an image of identity not as something fixed, but as a presence in continuous evolution.
