Description from the seller
Hilde Goossenaerts is a Belgian artist and pilot living in Antwerp. For many years she has been intrigued by different art forms and being a creative mind herself, she started painting about 12 years ago.
Since 2005, Hilde is a full-time commercial airline pilot for a major Belgian aviation company. Her artwork is inspired by the many beautiful views from the cockpit.
"The world is so wonderful to absorb at a height of 12,000 meters. Every flight, I am amazed by the rugged landscapes, snowy mountains and deep blue oceans"
Hilde uses these inspirational views to create her unique abstract paintings. By using a lot of texture and paint, the artwork is like a recreation of mountains, clouds and oceans.
"I love the combination of both of my professions. As a pilot I need to follow a lot of procedures. It is a very structured job. In my atelier I can do whatever I want. Such an amazing feeling to explore my creativity.
This beautiful artwork 'Blue Velvet' comes with a certificate of authenticity.
