The art series “SURGE” captures the dynamics of elemental movements—lively, present and expressive. The works thrive on the tension-filled contrast between matte, raw cotton and intensely pulsating, deep acrylic layers. Broad brushstrokes and expressive gestures subtly make the physical energy of the painting process on the canvas perceptible. While powerful, flowing forms dominate the compositions, targeted color accents elsewhere introduce lively, vital impulses. Because the unprimed canvas is consciously left untouched in many places, the works breathe and develop a fascinating, tangible depth. It is a harmoniously balanced interplay of dense color structures and minimalist free spaces. The works have a powerful visual presence and enrich every room.
