Chinese porcelain cup and saucer from the Kangxi period, circa 1700, with a European monogram inside the cup and stylised peonies on the outside, both pieces bearing a jade double-circle mark on the underside; cup about 8 cm across, saucer about 13 cm, both in good condition with small restored rim-chips, provenance private collection North Holland.

Chinese porcelain cup and saucer, marked –China- Kangxi period ca. 1700
On offer is an interesting Chinese porcelain cup and saucer, dating to the Kangxi period. On the inside of the cup there is an European family monogram between a wreath of twigs. A rare early form of “Chine de commande”.The outside of the cup and saucer is decorated with stylized standing peony flowers. At the rims of the cup and saucer a continuous branch with leaves. On the underside, both cup and saucer are marked with a jade symbol mark, in a double circle, for good quality. The saucer has 4 detailed lingzhi fungus at the flared rim. Rare interesting example! Provenance; From the private collection of a deceased collector from North Holland.
Date: Kangxi period 1662-1722 ca. 1700.
Size: Cups measures ca. 8 cm across. Saucer measures ca. 13 cm across.
Condition: Good. Cup with 1 restored rim-chip. No hairline. Saucer has 2 small restored rim-chips, no hairline.
Will be packed very well and shipped with registered track/trace with insurance. Combined shipping possible, we return postage costs.
