Chinese porcelain lidded cup –China- 19th Century
On offer is an interesting and rare Chinese porcelain lidded cup, dating to the 19th Century. The cup and the lid are beautifully shaped with nicely finished brown edges (jia mangkou). The decoration set up in blue shows a continuous pattern in the Chinese taste. The decoration consists of a continuous landscape with water. These patterns are repeated on the lid. Rare interesting example! Provenance; From the private collection of a deceased collector from North Holland.
Date: Mid. 19th Century.
Size: Cup measures ca. 10,5 cm across. The set measures ca. 8 cm in height.
Condition: Good, showcase ready. Cup: a superficial rim-chip with connected 4 cm hairline are neatly restored, and therefore barely visible. Lid: Perfect. Further no damage!
