The art series “LUMINA” explores the interplay of light, color, and atmosphere. The works are created on unprimed cotton canvas, whose natural surface becomes part of the composition and lends the paintings an honest, unadulterated presence. The color is poured, poured and splashed directly onto the canvas without brushes or other tools – an intuitive, free painting process that gives each piece its unmistakable dynamism. Multi-layered glazes and subtle textures create image spaces of exceptional depth and luminosity. Between color-field painting and lyrical abstraction, works of quiet presence emerge that continually change with light and the viewer’s perception. Each piece invites you to not only see color but to experience it.
