Description from the seller
Elena Gribi (20th century)
Still life with primroses (or Vase of primroses), oil on cardboard, signed and dated bottom right "E. GRIBI 1935", 50 x 35 cm
Fascinating oil painting on cardboard created in 1935 by the painter E. Gribi, depicting a rich vase of primroses in vibrant tones ranging from pink to lilac, nestled among lush green leaves. The work is signed and dated by the author at the bottom right. The brushwork is vigorous, dense and material, capable of giving great depth and plasticity to both the petals of the flowers and the foliage, highlighting a marked sensitivity in the chromatic and luminous rendering of the still life.
On the back there are notes and handwritten archival or inventory numbers. The condition of the work is visible in the photo: normal signs of age consistent with the period are noted, which do not compromise the beauty and integrity of this valuable early 20th-century painting.
Shipping costs include professional and secure packing carried out with high-quality materials specifically designed to protect paintings and works of art during international transport. The shipment is entrusted to the best express couriers, with constant tracking service and full insurance coverage to ensure maximum peace of mind for the buyer from departure to final delivery.
Notes on shipping and customs
The item is shipped from Geneva, Switzerland. For this reason, delivery times to EU countries could be slightly longer than usual due to standard customs procedures.
In case of return of the package for an incorrect address, unclaimed package or unpaid duties, the buyer shall pay for a second shipment and cover return costs.
I would also remind you that, since Switzerland lies outside the European Union customs area, import taxes, local VAT and customs duties are entirely the buyer’s responsibility and will be charged by authorities in your country upon delivery. I advise you to check in advance to avoid surprises. Alternatively to shipping, if you have the option, personal pickup in Geneva is the option I prefer and strongly recommend, as it will eliminate transportation costs and ensure maximum safety for the artwork. If shipping is chosen, I will do my best to pack the work to protect it during the journey.
