Gabriel Avila Santiesteban's original acrylic painting Net content NO Reserve (2026), 120 x 90 cm, signed by hand, dated and numbered on the back, shipped rolled in a sturdy tube from Spain, unframed.
Description from the seller
A work of art created by the artist Gabriel Avila Santiesteban.
THIS IS NOT A PRINT. 100% HANDMADE.
The painting explores a relationship between the body and what penetrates, contains, or transforms it.
The figure appears integrated into a domestic space where everyday objects acquire a presence almost equal to that of the body: food, surfaces, containers, and furniture build a scene in which the intimate and the ordinary overlap.
The gesture of drinking introduces an elemental, almost automatic action, yet also ambiguous. The body is presented as a place of consumption, exchange, and accumulation; a surface where desire, need, and habit converge.
The bottle, held and brought to the mouth, functions less as a narrative object than as an extension of that exchange.
The title Contenido neto shifts attention to what remains when the wrapper is removed: an apparently objective measure applied to something that is hardly quantifiable.
Thus the painting plays with the tension between what a body shows, what it contains, and what may ultimately be considered its true content.
Dimensions: 100 x 80 cm
