Description from the seller

Antique silver-glass carafe / wine carafe – 800-grade solid silver – Royal Court Jeweller Eugen Marcus, Berlin – ca. 1900.

This museum-worthy opulent piece captivates with the masterful combination of artfully cut crystal glass and an elegant mounting made of genuine 800 solid silver. The mounting and the gracefully curved handle were crafted by the famed Berlin Royal Court Jeweller Eugen Marcus, known for his first-class work in the service of the nobility and the upper bourgeoisie.

Details & Features:
Material: 800 silver (stamped with the German Reich stamp a crescent and crown) and heavy crystal glass.
Master mark / Jeweller: Fully signed with “EUGEN MARCUS”.
Decoration: The glass body shows an elaborate, deep facet and star cut that brilliantly refracts light. The shapely stopper picks up this cut pattern perfectly.
Form: Elegant, slender carafe shape with a wide-spread spout and a distinctly curved silver handle.
Condition: Excellent for its age. The glass is clear and free of damage.

An absolute highlight for collectors of historic Berlin silver and a sparkling focal point on any table!
