French Frosted Glass and Silver Perfume Bottle — Belle Époque (c. 1890–1910)

Elegant vanity perfume bottle in a baluster shape, made of frosted/satin glass with softly molded vertical facets. The neck is fitted with a sterling silver collar and a hinged cap crowned by a knop finial. The top of the cap features a decorative medallion with colored details.

Origin and Dating

Origin: France.

Century: Late 19th to early 20th century (c. 1890–1910, Belle Époque / Art Nouveau period).

Control Marks (Punches):

Sword Guard (Tête d'Épée): Official French Small Guarantee mark for small silver objects (minimum fineness 800/1000), adopted from 1838.

Maker's Pledge (Poinçon de Maître): Manufacturer's mark struck inside a lozenge, with the silversmith's initials.

Height: 15.5 cm
Base: 5.8 cm
