AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Elegant and important artistic vase in the shape of an amphora, crafted in precious cloisonné glass. The piece stands out for a complex multi-layer technique: the interior presents in glossy deep cobalt blue glass, while the outer cloaking layer is enriched with oxides and glass powders that create a striking marbled texture in shades of blue, purple, and milky white, with an opalescent finish that recalls the effect of ancient excavated glass. The mouth of the vase is skillfully hot-worked with a wavy, handkerchief-like profile. On the sides of the body rise two refined transparent crystal glass volute handles applied hot, terminating below with a spiraled curl. The lower part of the body gradually fades into a dotted pattern ('pulviscolo') near the integrated disk foot. A work of high Murano glass mastery, preserved in splendid conservation conditions.
