Vintage musical pepper grinder with a carillon, made in Italy with Capodimonte-style porcelain details and gilded metal finishes. The central porcelain body features bas-relief decorations depicting dancing putti or cherubs set in a landscape with a floral motif. Musical function: It houses a Swiss musical movement that plays a typical melody when the grinder is lifted from the platform; under the base there is the outlet hole for the freshly ground pepper and it has a winding knob for the carillon.
