Refined and elegant Milanese edition from the end of the 19th century in large format of the famous novel by Chateaubriand, enriched by the evocative engravings by Gustave Doré.
Atala of Vte. de Chateaubriand illustrated by Gustave Doré, Milan, Carlo Aliprandi Editore, s. d. (probably late '800).
PP.: XI, (I), 144. COMPLETE, with 30 full-page engravings outside the text and others in the text.
Copy with sheets in overall very good condition, with the usual signs of use and time.
Contemporary half-leather binding with marble-paper boards and spine with title and author impressed in gold, very well preserved. White endpapers.
