Description from the seller
Description of the work:
Interior Universes II — Transformation
Figurative contemporary sculpture in brass, made entirely by hand.
A unique piece belonging to the series “Interior Universes,” a set of works in which the artist explores the inner world of the human being, the complexity of thought and the processes of change and personal evolution.
The sculpture represents a human figure seated on a spherical structure built through an interweaving of metal thread. Beside it appears a butterfly, a symbolic element traditionally associated with transformation, evolution and change.
The sphere represents the figure’s inner universe: a space constructed from multiple lines, connections and tensions, as a metaphor for the thoughts, emotions and experiences that shape our identity.
The butterfly introduces the concept of transformation and establishes a link between the inner world and the outer world. The figure seems to be at a moment of transition, at that instant when something inside us begins to change.
The contrast between the human figure, the geometric structure of the sphere and the organic shape of the butterfly creates a composition that combines matter and void, balance and movement, structure and lightness.
The work is handmade in brass, sheet metal and metal thread, using manual forming, shaping and assembly processes.
Each piece is built individually by the artist, without molds or casting processes, so it is an original and unique work.

Biography:
Artist and jeweler specializing in creating unique metal pieces, where material experimentation becomes a medium of artistic expression.
My work arises from the technical knowledge of the jewelry trade, which evolves toward exploring broader formats, allowing me to develop my own sculptural language. Through brass and working with thread and sheet metal, I create compositions that combine lightness, balance and tension.
My work sits within contemporary sculpture, focusing on human relationships, emotional bonds and the invisible structures that connect people. The figures, in simplified forms, contrast with the heads built from interwoven thread, symbolizing the complexity of thought and emotion.
Currently, I also experiment with organic shapes inspired by nature, expanding my language toward new expressive lines.
Each piece is made entirely by hand, artisanally, taking care of detail and giving rise to original and unique sculptures.
