An authentic vintage English nautical Star Globe, produced by the renowned instrument maker Kelvin & Hughes Ltd. and printed by the well-known cartographers George Philip & Son Ltd.
With the designation Epoch 1975, this celestial globe was originally designed as a precision navigation instrument. Seafarers used it to identify stars and determine position at sea via astronomical navigation. The globe hangs in a brass meridian ring and sits on a heavy, solid brass base with a beautiful warm patina.
