Nudo nell’atelier, an oil painting by Paul Boudot originating from Switzerland.
Description from the seller
Seated female nude, Oil on canvas, Signed in the upper left, 46 x 33 cm.
Fascinating oil painting on canvas by the French artist Paul BOUDOT. The work depicts a seated female nude, captured in a moment of intimacy as she adjusts her hair with one hand, on which a golden bracelet is noticeable.
The woman also wears a red flower in her hair and a pair of red slippers. The setting is an interior with heavy dark drapes in the background and, to the right, a window opening onto a snowy landscape, creating a chromatic contrast between the warmth of the flesh and the cold exterior.
The composition is characterized by a solid drawing and a decisive painterly application, with broad areas of color. In the upper left, the work bears the artist's signature "Boudot". On the original wooden frame are handwritten the dimensions "46x33" in pencil.
The painting presents in good overall condition, with a patina of age coherent with the period of execution. It comes with a simple natural wooden frame, without decorative molding. Please view the images carefully to appreciate the details and condition of the work.
Dimensions: 46 x 33 cm.
Technique: Oil on canvas.
Signature: Signed in the upper left.
Condition: Good, with signs of age.
Provenance: Private collection.
Notes on shipping and customs
The item is shipped from Geneva, Switzerland. For this reason, delivery times to EU countries may be slightly longer than usual due to standard customs procedures.
In case of return of the package for an wrong address, unclaimed package or unpaid duties, the buyer will have to pay a second shipment and cover the return costs.
I would also remind you that, since Switzerland is outside the EU customs area, import duties, local VAT and customs charges are the sole responsibility of the buyer and will be collected by the authorities in your country upon delivery. I advise you to inform yourself in advance to avoid surprises. Alternatively to shipping, if you have the possibility, personal pickup in Geneva is always the option I prefer and strongly recommend, as it will eliminate transportation costs and ensure maximum safety for the artwork. If shipping is chosen, I will do my best to package it to protect the painting during transport.
