Original acrylic painting on canvas by Marcel Mendez titled Fragmented Face #122 XL (No reserve), 2026, 70 cm by 90 cm, signed by hand and in excellent condition, depicting a portrait in Cubist style with blue, yellow, black, white, green, and red tones, from the Las 1000 Caras series and sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
I present Portrait #122, an original work in which I explore the female face through geometric shapes, defined lines, and large color fields.
In this composition I combine cobalt blue, yellow, burgundy, gray, black, pink, and cream tones to create a face with a serene, contemporary appearance. The asymmetrical gaze, the geometric cut of the hair, and the contrasts of the face contribute personality and visual balance to the work.
This portrait is part of my series Las 1000 Caras, a project in which I interpret different identities, emotions, and ways of looking through color and geometry.
The artwork works especially well in modern, contemporary, and eclectic interiors. It can become the focal point of a living room, dining room, study, library, or workspace.
