Marco Corridoni, FIXED Fontana - reversible - (no reserve), original unique work in mixed media, 30 × 24 cm, signed on the back, Italy, 2026, conceptual art in blue, edition Originale, in excellent condition, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
FIXED Fontana - reversible (2026)
idropittura on canvas, leather, metal
30x24cm
ONE-OF-A-KIND and ORIGINAL WORK
Special edition of the new series "Fixed".
The cut is reversible: it can be opened or closed.
The artist draws on Lucio Fontana's spatial concepts to rewrite art history, through a manipulation of his artistic poetics, suspended between quotation and desecration.
The cuts are re-sewn, in a symbolic manner, to shorten space rather than to “open” it. Expectations are subverted, almost as a protest against a way of making and selling art that has little or nothing to do with the originality and essence of art itself.
The canvases are prepared in Fontana's manner and the cuts, strictly made by hand by the artist, replicate those of his most famous works.
Each cut is fixed with a black back canvas, just as documented by Lucio Fontana: this gives the work stability and a sublime aesthetic effect.
Work signed on the back
Photographic certification included
Frame available separately.
