Painting of Soviet Socialist Realism by Ivan Petrovich Evchenko (1936-2014), Grain Harvest, oil on canvas, 1985, 130 x 159 cm. Signed.
The painting will be sold with authentication on the photo that includes the export permit and the museum appraisal from Chernihiv, with the director's signature, stamp, catalog number in the archive, and the date. (see photo).
IMPORTANT!!! If shipping outside the European Community, the lot will be shipped only after clearance from the competent authority. The aforementioned timelines do not depend on the bidder (ultimately two weeks are needed). The formalities with the supervision of fine arts are the seller's responsibility.
Customs duties are borne by the buyer.
Attention!!! Given the size of the painting, only the canvas rolled in a cardboard or plastic tube will be shipped. (No frame and stretchers). Otherwise choose free pickup.
biography:
Ivan Petrovich Evchenko was born January 18, 1936 in the village Vishnevka, Chernihiv region. From 1958 to 1963 he studied at the artistic and pedagogical department of the Odessa State Art College. M.B. Grekov, where his teachers were T.I. Egorova, G.N. Pavlyuk, A.K. Likholet. After graduation, he moved to Zaporozhye and worked as an artist in the studios of the Ukrainian Art Fund. From 1965 Evchenko E.P. participated in republican, all-Union, and foreign art exhibitions. Member of the Union of Ukrainian Artists since 1967.
He worked in easel painting and monumental painting. Master of thematic painting and portrait. In his work, the artist poetically renders a normal Ukrainian woman. Evchenko's paintings depict working women, mothers with simple and kind faces, who raise children, work, and value every sprout in their homeland. In 1964, in collaboration with I.A. Malyarenko, he created a mosaic panel “Heroes of Our Days.” In 1977, a solo exhibition of E.P. Evchenko was held at the Zaporizhia Regional Art Museum. In 1994 he became the Winner of the I.I. Brodsky Prize. Awarded with the Diploma of Honor from the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. The artist's works are represented in the art museums of Zaporizhia and Donetsk, in galleries and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. He participated in the Wannenes Art Auction (2024, Italy).
