Multidisciplinary photographer and artist, author and musician, David Law develops work centered on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first made his name with a series devoted to store-window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Later intrigued by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he extends this reflection by staging them on the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a disturbing, almost lifelike presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection.
New Series – Echo Waves / Echo Visions - A new reading of cultural icons
The Echo Waves / Echo Visions series offers a contemporary rereading of cultural icons through an immersive and vibrant pop art aesthetic. Each work rests on a mosaic construction made up of thousands of micro-graphic compositions. From afar, the image reveals a recognizable figure, while up close, it reveals a richness of visual details. Each fragment acts as a “wave,” evoking the artistic universe of the subject represented. The creation process is long and demanding, requiring precision and mastery of graphic tools. An in-depth work is carried out on colors, light and the overall harmony of the image. Everything is created in an original and independent manner.

Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies plus 4 artist proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
