Large Faenza maiolica vase, “Faenza – Italy”, 20th century, circa 1930–1950. Body is globular with a wide hand-made polychrome decoration depicting a neo-Renaissance scene with male figures in historicized outfits, musicians, and an animal in a landscape. Rich ornamental decoration with geometric and vegetal motifs at the borders, in shades of blue, yellow, green, orange, and brown. Circular foot is decorated. On the reverse/underside: handwritten inscription “FAENZA – ITALY”.
