You are bidding on a very fine and rare old 4/4 violin, labeled Ernesto Pevere allievo di Ettore Soffritti fecit in Ferrara l' anno 1946.
The instrument remains in good ready to play condition with no cracks or repairs. The whole length of the violin is 591 mm and the back 358 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 167 mm; middle bouts: 114 mm; lower bouts: 207 mm.
Materials: very nice two pieces softly flamed maple back and straight high grained spruce top. Golden-brown varnish. Rosewood set up. New strings.
