Description from the seller

Antonio Sciacca
Oil on canvas 90x65
Untitled
Signed on front and back
Splendid and imposing oil-on-canvas work by the master Antonio Sciacca, of generous dimensions 90x65 cm.
The painting represents a perfect synthesis of the artist's poetics in which figurative sacredness and historical memory dialogue with the languages of international contemporary art.
On the intense black background, to the right emerges the stylized and hydraulic face of a sculpture inspired by devotional/wooden imagery, with a solemn profile and hypnotic eyes, a hallmark of Sciacca's painting.
On the left, in clear chromatic and conceptual contrast, stands a vivid fuchsia balloon-animal-like swan that recalls the iconic
Neo-Pop aesthetics of Jeff Koons.
Sciacca's painting mastery is evident in the mirrored effect and in the highlights laid on oil to render the synthetic and glossy material of the balloon, contrasted with the warm material, patina and almost wooden texture of the Bust.
The work is signed at the bottom left on the front.
On the back it bears the autograph and the artist's handwritten certification:
"Opera da me eseguita Antonio Sciacca"
Together with figures, atelier marks and cataloging references on the wooden frame.
Hand-signed on the front and personally authenticated by the master on the back of the canvas.
The painting is accompanied by the original photographic documentation that depicts the master Antonio Sciacca holding the work.
