The "Y" (Ygrec) is the very rare and confidential dry white wine produced by the mythical Château d’Yquem, the only Premier Cru Classé Supérieur of Sauternes. From the same exceptional terroir and cultivated with the same extreme rigor as the great liqueured wine, it is produced in very limited quantities (about 10,000 bottles per year). It combines the aromatic tension of Sauvignon Blanc harvested at perfect freshness with the full, fatty body of Sémillon.

The Y can be drunk now or kept for 15 to 20 years.
