Studied from 1906 at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich,
Exhibitions from a young age; for example at the Glaspalast in Munich
and in Berlin with Ferdinand Möller,
1910 joint exhibition at the Neue Galerie New York
with Erich Heckel and Max Pechstein,
1933 his works were considered "degenerate" - during the Nazi era his
studio in Munich with around 150 works was destroyed,
after 1945 in the artist group "Der Rote Reiter" among others with
Willi Baumeister, Ida Korkovius ....
