Splendid and imposing antique sculpture in gilded bronze depicting Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte in his famous iconic pose.
The work is datable to the 19th century and, given the presence of the original mounting pins under the base, it was originally conceived as the apex element of an important desk clock (mantel clock) or of a large era-era furnishing piece.
The quality of the casting is excellent, evident in the precision of the details of the uniform, the bicorne hat, the tailcoat and the decorations on the chest.
The substantial weight (over 2 kg for only 26 cm in height) attests to the solidity of the solid bronze used.
The original gilding gives the piece a splendid sheen and depth.
