Description:
Collectible mechanical pocket watches from the legendary American brand Elgin, available from National Watch Co. in a confident movement.
According to the serial number of the mechanism 3651003, the watch was produced approximately in 1889-1890, making it a rare and valuable example of late 19th-century watchmaking.
• Case: Three covers (Hunter/Savonetti type), closes firmly, the front cover spring works correctly. The coating is a deep high-quality gold-filled finish, popular at the time for its wear resistance.
• Dial: Clear enamel, original, in excellent condition. Gold stylized Arabic numerals.
Elegant fancy hands (gold-toned). A small separate seconds dial at the 6 o’clock mark
• Movement: American original caliber from Elgin National Watch Co. Winding and setting of hands are performed using the winding crown (pendant-set). The watch has been serviced; the rate is accurate.
