Handcrafted Wooden Fishing Trawler Model - Bristol Channel - 40 cm
Description:
Stunning handcrafted model of a coastal fishing trawler, inspired by trawlers from the Bristol Channel / Mediterranean, entirely in wood.
Solid wood hull hand-painted with red hull real, dark blue stern, and white, double waterline. Deck with planking, cabin/tower with windows, life buoy, barrel, smokestack and deck accessories.
Very rich fishing equipment: large functional stern winch with coils, hemp trawl net, crates for the catch, cleats, lines and shrouds in natural twine, single mast with climbing ladder.
The model rests on a handmade wooden display base with a plaque. Hobby-level execution of good quality, probably 1980s/1990s, unique piece not industrial.
