Italy, 1930s-1950s
Fascinating lot consisting of five antique colored glass seltzer/soda water siphons, authentic testimonies of the Italian sparkling water tradition of the first half of the 20th century.
The siphons retain their original metal dispensing heads and feature splendid shades of green, blue and pink glass, particularly appreciated by collectors and enthusiasts of vintage, industrial and bistro furniture.
Some specimens report original writings and marks in relief on the glass, including:
1 pink siphon bears the inscriptions -E. Spalazzi Acqua Gazosa – Lodi -Francesco Barbieri
2 green siphon -Deva - Voghera
3 green siphon -F.lli Introppo- Villanterio
4 blue siphon - ZTV- T. Zuffada Voghera
5 blue siphon -Teresio Zuffada Voghera
These marks identify historic Italian bottlers and give the lot considerable historical and collecting interest.
The metal heads show a natural patina of time that attests to their authenticity. The siphons have not been restored and retain their original charm.

one blue siphon has a chip at the base;
in the other blue siphon the inner tube is detached but present inside the bottle; the remaining ones in good condition compatible with age, use and era
normal signs of time, slight oxidations and patina on the metal parts;
The conditions are clearly documented in the photographs and do not compromise the decorative and collecting value of the lot.
