Antique rigid gold bracelet with pearls and hand-painted enamel miniature on porcelain - Manifattura FROV, late 19th Century
Type: Ancient opening rigid bracelet with a lateral hinge.
Manufacturing/Origin: Italy
stamped FROV (Fabbriche Riunite Oreficerie Vicentine) on the back of the central setting.
Period: Late 19th Century / Early 20th Century (full Victorian Era / Renaissance Revival style)
Materials: Yellow/rose gold, natural pearls (scaramazze)
hand-painted polychrome enamel on porcelain plaque
small cabochon-cut emerald at the base.
Aesthetic Details: The front is characterized by a refined circular medallion depicting a noblewoman in profile with an updo and Renaissance-era attire. The mount is enriched with pierced work of geometric scrolls and phytomorphic decorations, embellished by pearls arranged in a Clover shape and along the side curls. Back structure features a double smooth band.
Excellent vintage condition consistent with the object's age. Enamel intact and free of evident crazing, pearls contemporaneous and firmly set, clasp and hinge perfectly functioning.
