Biography
Graziano Rey was born in Turin in 1953. From a young age, after sharing art with his brother Francesco and the master Lorenzo Alessandri during the period of the “Soffitta Macabra,” he devoted years to figurative art and, in particular, to the world of music. From 1982 to 1987, as a creator of television jingles, including the best known Buona Domenica, I Ragazzi della III C, La Giostra, Ferragosto OK, he collaborates as a writer with several singers. In 1991-1992, he wins the Rino Gaetano prize and the Viareggio prize as a singer-songwriter.
Commentator, he participates in numerous shows of the Maurizio Costanzo Show and as an actor in Alberto Silvestri’s Candid Camera. In 1993, he publishes the narrative “3001 Spooky sur Jork II,” published by Mancuso Editor.
Actor in Sergio Martino’s film “In camera mia.” He settles in the Tonga Islands, continuing to devote himself to painting. More recently, his participation in the 57th Venice Biennale on the theme of the “Moloc” at the Palais des Arméniens, later taken to Palermo and Vicenza in 2017. Between 2018 and 2022, he has solo exhibitions in Bologna.
